Ohana is a community-based studio that promotes wellness through yoga and alternative forms of fitness.  We believe that your health is your wealth, and the key to living a happy life is incorporating balance, positivity and awareness into your daily routine. 


Yoga, our primary focus, is a universal practice that unifies the mind, body and soul through movement, breath and consciousness. We believe that alternative forms of fitness compliment the yoga practice by enhancing one's strength, confidence and agility.


Our mission is to provide a comfortable, inspirational and encouraging space where people learn and grow, while having fun.  In keeping with our mission, we provide certified, experienced instructors that implement proper, safe techniques to aid in your personal goals.

​Hi! I'm Alexis and this journey of personal transformation found me in 2012. I had just graduated from my Master's and found myself at a consulting firm which "fit the bill" perfectly of where I thought I should be in life. Unfortunately, while my new job was exciting, I found myself more worn down than ever. I had begun living a life that wasn't really about me anymore.  At the time, I had been practicing yoga on and off for about 8 years and started to get more serious about my practice. Something about it both energized and calmed me, always leading me closer to “me,” at which point I began practicing 4-5 times a week.  My yoga practice opened me up to a new world that I now can’t imagine living without – a world centered on creating balance and ease in all aspects of life.  I started to see yoga as a viable career option and and got certified as a Vinyasa Yoga Teacher, at which point I made the decision to leave my career in international development and move to the Bahamas (to eventually open a yoga studio!) For me, yoga is finding compassion and love in everything we do, and in everything & everyone we interact with. Lokah Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu ~ "May all beings everywhere be happy and free.  And may the thoughts, words and actions of my own life contribute, in some way, to that happiness and to that freedom for all."

BRITNI KNOWLES, Barre & Yoga Instructor

Hello! My name is Britni Knowles. I began taking dance classes at 9 years old and have been in love with it ever since! Dance has always and will always be a part of my life. I just can't stop! I currently takes classes in Tap, Contemporary, and Jazz at the Live 2 Dance studio, as well as assist in teaching our Tiny Tots (3-5 year old) Ballet and Tap class and the Adult Tap class. Dance and fitness has always been a passion of mine, so finding a way to make the two into a career rather than just a hobby was something I was always thinking about in the back of my mind. I stumbled upon Barre Fitness and immediately knew it was going to be in my future. So I decided to make the natural progression and turn my passion of dance into a profession by becoming a Certified Barre Fitness Instructor. I love teaching and I especially love creating the workouts because no class is ever the same, but every class will leave you feeling your best! I always say if YOU are making the effort to show up and come work out then I will ALWAYS make the effort to be sure that you leave feeling amazing and maybe a little sore! ;) The class is an all body workout and you will definitely feel muscles you may have never felt before. I can't wait to get started with you! :)

MEGHAN GILL, Yoga & Aerial Yoga Instructor

Hey everyone! My name is Meghan Gill. I started working at Live2Dance/Just Dance Bahamas about 6 years ago and that’s where my love for dance and fitness came into place - I was shocked that it took me so long to take care of my body and to make sure it got the exercise it needed. I was addicted to the feeling working out brought me. I was still in a really dark place mentally and moving my body was basically the only thing that I had going for me so I started doing yoga on my own in my down time and I fell in love. I loved practicing mat yoga but my heart yearned for more, and then I discovered aerial yoga. A fire in my heart ignited when I first started aerial yoga classes and it only kept burning bigger and brighter. I love floating in the sea and floating and flying in the hammock allows me to experience that same feeling. I hope to bring this feeling to all of my students in the aerial classes.

MARIAH MOYLE, Yoga Instructor

Hello! My name is Mariah and I'm originally from the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. A nomadic lifestyle captured me after graduating from Washington State University and I lived in all four corners of the U.S. until I hopped on my sailboat and started sailing towards the Caribbean in 2009. The Bahamas sidelined me and I fell in love with these amazingly beautiful islands, and one man in particular who became my husband. I moved to The Bahamas full time in 2011 and bounced around The Exumas and lived in Harbour Island before moving to the "big city" of Nassau at the end of 2016 where I have started to finally put down some roots. My journey with yoga started around 2004 when I tried Bikram yoga. Initially, that particular style didn't grab me, but several years later I tried a Vinyasa Flow class and was hooked. Over the years I've experimented with various styles but find that I appreciate the flexibility and freedom for creativity that Vinyasa provides. I found Studio Ohana in March 2016 and upon moving to Nassau I began dedicating myself to my practice full-time. I completed my Vinyasa 200 hour yoga teacher training in March 2018 and am excited to continue sharing my love of yoga with others!  When I'm not practicing yoga, I'm usually outside kiteboarding, paddlesurfing or walking my three rescue Potcakes on the beach. “Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. Hey! I am Nicolette Campbell. This journey of walking in my purpose as a certified Life Coach began in 2014. After graduating with my Masters in Organizational Learning and Leadership and landing a job and position that allowed me to interact with and mentor others, I began to feel a positive shift in my life. Unfortunately the company I worked for declared bankruptcy and I lost my job. At that point I felt lost, discouraged, with no sense of direction; I had lost my sense of self. During this rough time I met an amazing life coach who introduced me to a community of empowering women who helped inspire me to transform my life and myself. I was able to realise my passion and dream for helping, guiding and encouraging women, and turn that into a reality. For so long I’ve tried to fit in and be ‘regular’, but I’ve always had an irregular passion inside of me calling me to help others and become a beacon of hope. Being a Certified Life Coach, I truly enjoy helping those who feel like they are fighting their battles alone, and help them realize their true strength and potential.
